I have been Soooooo miserably constipated with this pregnancy. Yesterday, after not having had a 'movement' for a week, I had awful stomach pain and cramps and decided to take my first laxative. I googled Senna, it was safe, ok, took 1 of the suggested 1-2 tablets for adults, then hung out an hour and went to bed. When I awoke this morning, 7 hours later, I was sure it haven't worked. I was showering and getting ready for work and nothing. Then...Just as I was getting Evangeline in the car to drive to daycare...they worked. Seriously guys, I was mortified to have to use the bathroom at daycare, jump in the car, get to work as fast as possible just in time to spend the next 2 hours in and out of the bathroom every 20 minutes. It felt fabulous to get everything, but I was so embarrassed. I fessed up to my co-workers, since they were concerned of course haha. They were very cool about it and understanding, thank God, since we share one single bathroom amongst 4 staff. Feeling so much better this afternoon though. Hopping now that I am 13 weeks the constipation will start to let up and I can feel decent again. Seeing the OB this afternoon and I imagine booking NT ultrasound for sometime in the next couple of weeks :) excited to see newbebe. Update later.
